Effective October 21, 2023, new subsection 18(3) of the Licensed Practical Nurses Regulations authorize a LPN to administer by any means a vaccine prescribed by a person authorized to practise as a pharmacist under the laws of this province. This amendment facilitates the effective utilization of LPNs in further practice environments in Prince Edward Island, enabling even more access to safe competent and ethical healthcare for Islanders.
